Blog Theme Designs
Thanks to the work of my husband, Robert, I have custom themes for my blog. Robert designs my themes and includes details from my paintings. I am delighted with the results and I hope you enjoy them. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see what painting is featured in the theme.

Blind Contour Friday — First Week

OK, we can tell who doesn’t do lots of contour drawing! And, who looks more at her paper than at her subject! But, fortunately, there is room for even the likes of me. Oh, I’m talking about my blind contour of course! Diahn Ott is hosting Blind Contour Friday! Check out her site. I’ve been thinking about keeping my drawing muscles in shape, so I thought that practicing blind contours would be a good idea. So, here’s today’s posting. Hopefully, I’ll remember to do it again next Friday. Oh, what is it of? Well, toy pony and kittykitty have to meet!

I’m there with you, anything to try and improve my drawing skills. It will be later tonight before I get the chance to post mine. I imagine you drew your breakfast or your coffee break. Very nice.
Hi Peggy! Thanks for playing along – Yay! Blind contours are a great way to get your observational drawing muscles in great shape…it’s amazing what even just a little practice with it can do!
Hi Diahn and Stephanie, Thanks! This is a wonderful idea. I hope it gains momentum! Umm, this was my still life….a coffee cup, cat figurine and toy horse. Practice will be a good thing! I get so used to drawing from my head, it’s weird trying to empty it to do a blind contour!
Oh, good idea to add a border! My drawing muscles are sagging, at least when I can’t LOOK! But it is fun to play along and give it a go.
This is beautiful ! I love to try too
Hi Deborah and Ley Hoon, Thanks for stopping by! I know how you two feel! My way of developing designs has me working in my head so I feel awkward when I need to look at something. Excellent practice and it gives me good shapes!
Wonderful blind contour! Aren’t they fun to do?
Hi Linda! Thanks; yes they are fun! I’m getting inspired to do them more often! Thanks for stopping by!
I enjoy seeing what everyone else is drawing!
Hi Zelma,
Thanks for stopping by! I liked your contour drawing; very festive!
