In today's "episode", Toy Pony brings home her friend, Ms Kitty.  Toy Pony and Ms Kitty met last week and became fast friends.  Toy Pony decided to have Ms Kitty home to play, and meet the sisters.

I purposely used a flat composition.  I aligned all the friends on the same line to avoid too much depth.  My intention was to have an arrangement like an Egyptian hieroglyph.  I didn’t intend to have sloping lines.  I will have to fix that problem before I enlarge! 

If you’ve been following Still Life with Toy Pony, you will notice I’ve re-arranged the elements.  Since Ms. Kitty is new to the group, and a visitor, she enters from the left with her friend, Toy Pony.  I find it amusing that Ms Kitty, by her attitude, steels the show.  She dominates and looks as if she’s facing the “camera”, or, as in this case, the artist.

Today is the first day of the “Art Every Day Month" (AEDM).  I look forward to the adventure.  I think Ms. Kitty will dominate the narrative.  It' seems fitting, then, that my husband and webmaster, Robert, put "Groovy Kitty" up in the blog banner!  Thanks!
