Its “Blind Contour Friday” again! Today’s study is of a corkscrew wine bottle opener. I like how the different curves and lines make me slow down and look. One of the gears looks like hands. I invite you take a look at some of the other drawings and consider joining in next Friday!
Thanks Diahn Ott, for hosting BCFridays!
I thought I'd continue the saga of Ms Kitty on this posting. So, Art Every Day Month and Blind Contour Friday can be on the same page! Maybe we'll get some cross pollination or something exciting!
….
MsKitty was patiently posing for me again. We had come back from our brief visit to space. Posing in front of another sea shell seemed sort of humdrum. The sea shell was a special sea shell, but…..hmmmm. And, MsKitty was getting antsy.
“I’m supposed to be on a great quest. We need to go to special kitty places, not the usual locations”.
“Oh…..you have a point. So, where do you suggest we go?”
Kitty thought a minute….hmmm…..thought some more…..took a nap…played with catnip…took another nap…had dinner….then she purred.
“AHA! I have just the special place……” And, of course, stayed tuned!
And, thank you Leah Piken Kolidas for hosting "Art Every Day Month"

Fantastic corkscrew! I knew what it was immediately – even before I read your description – excellent!
And I love Ms Kitty…cant' wait to see where she ends up next!
Hi Peggy, Nice job on the corkscrew! That’s no easy subject. The kitty is delightful too. Keep having fun!
Hi Diahn, Thanks for stopping by. I was a little surprised with how much fun the parts were to draw. I look forward to next week!
Hi Connie, Thank you; I thought I’d really goof it on such a complicated subject…but I was surprised. I’m glad you stopped by.
Looking at the words “blind contour” bring back memories of high school art class, and no matter how hard I tried, my page would be filled with scrawling scribbles.
I am so impressed by your skill!
Love your painting of the cat & shell. I have my own calico MzKitty. I too remember the days of high school art class and the blind contour, ha-ha. Hadn’t thought about it in a long time. Thanks!
Hi Sherrie! Thank you for stopping by. A calico MzKitty! The last calico we lived with was “Georgette”; she was a funny kitty. I appreciate the comments!
I’m totally impressed with your blind contour. You choose a hard subject and pulled it off beautifully.
Very good drawing! Impressive!
Hi Zelma, Thank you! I appreciate the compliment; you’re contour drawings are wonderful!
