MsKitty Has Coffee at the Beach
I get funny little ideas from time to time. Today’s posting is one just funny little idea. I had the idea of MsKitty sending “postcards” from her places of travel. I imagined the type of postcard that has multiple images super-imposed on a background image. Of course, I have to do things my way. Here is the first. After working it, I thought “hmmm, this would be a great design for a shower curtain”….
The reason behind these small studies is to practice composition. My intention is to do these fast and without the usual buzzillion layers. This is going to be an “idea bank”; some may be developed later. And, it’s fun!

This is so charming! I love the colors……blue and yellow is always a winning combination and your design layout is perfect.
Love this one, looks like the coffee has perked MSKitty up for the day and you have used the shells again.
Cheers
Hi Norma, Thank you! Half the fun of this project is playing with the different colors on my palette and mixing them… Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Kaylene, Something a little bit quirky about my cat, coffee and shells. My favorite sort of thing! Thanks for stopping by; hope it cools off a little for you!
i like the feeling of sun and sea on your work
Hi Lilas, Thank you for following my blog. It’s funny that you should mention the sun; it is gray and raining today. More rain for the next few days. Must paint the sun to see it!
Ooo – this color scheme makes me think summer and beaches!
This really does remind me of a vintage postcard! I do love seeing Ms Kitty and her adventures, fun to see her go retro
Hi Linda, Funny I should be working with summery colors during blustery fall! Thanks!
Hi Lee Ana, Cool it reminds you of vintage postcards! I think it’s a fun design to work with! Thanks for stopping by!
Dear Peggy (aka Margaret),
I love this creation, it feels so true to that precise experience and the message you are reaching out to all of us in. I love how you can see the precision in you through the angles of the painting, and also love the light colours in reflection. Very beautiful indeed.
A continuation of a very loving Art Every Day Month to you.
