Blog Theme Designs
Thanks to the work of my husband, Robert, I have custom themes for my blog. Robert designs my themes and includes details from my paintings. I am delighted with the results and I hope you enjoy them. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see what painting is featured in the theme.

MsKitty’s Cool in Blue Spiral Gyre Land

Thank you Katharine Cartwright for mentioning my drawing in your blog today; I'm honored! Kathy has a wonderfully written posting on resolutions today. I recommending reading it!
I like exploring the spiral idea with MsKitty. This little design begs to be done again, with modifications, variations, a little of this, a little of that… It's a challenge making the spirals go different direction. I can feel the natural sort of handedness about spirals.
This design is regular, symmetric, relying heavily on alternation to give it visual interest. It’s fun exploring these designs! More soon.

Thanks so much, Peggy, for mentioning my blog! You're too generous. Another great design, here, and MsKitty seems delighted with spiral land. Your designs are so instructive. I wish art majors across the country would take a look at what you've accomplished. This is a great lesson!
i like this blue, very deep
Peggy- I completely agree with Kathy's comment about how instructive your designs are. You absolutely could write a book on composition and/or teach. You illustrate composition so succinctly and beautifully. You make it look effortless. Beautiful!
Hi Kathy, Lilas and Pam!
Kathy, Speaking of generous, thank you for your compliment! Isn't if fun and enlightening what one can do with a simple little design?
Lilas, thank you! The blues I used included French Ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, indanthrone blue, and a little purple too!
Pam, oh my! I think of these things as simple little "what if" designs. Really…hmmm, I might need to start writing things down! Thank you!
