Daily Drawings 31 & 32: In Tulip Land

More daily drawings to ponder.  Over 30 days of daily drawings!  TulipLand is my kind of place.  I can't explain the crossed paws; they appeared and stayed.

  • Lots of kitty kats! I like it. Lots of variety–with a repeating "star". Well done!

  • Wow … tulip land exploded! Love the cubism.

  • Randy Carboni:

    Love these two.

  • Maybe MsKitty is crossing her arms and giving  thanks for surviving the explosion.  I like both of these.

  • Well done, but I think Miss Kitty in trouble;)

  • Peggy- these are both fantastic! These both look very free and expressive- like you were smiling the whole way through.

  • Peggy, Wow, there's a lot going on these drawings!  They are very dynamic and also challenging (in a good way).  They stop and make me look and think about what's going on.   Holly

  • Hi Celeste, Kathy, Randy, Hallie, Karen, Pam and Holly,

Celeste, I find I am able to explore and express ideas with my repeating "star"…and it can be so much fun!  Thank you.

Kathy, It must be the anticipation of March winds, Chinook winds, or ….well, life in general might do it!  Thanks!

Thanks Randy!  They're sort of similar explorations.

Hallie, I think you have a good point there! MsKitty might have thought she needed to use one of her nine lives.

Oops, Karen (LOL moment), keeping the way clear for the kitty litter box!

Pam, I'm glad it looks that way, because they were a STRUGGLE!  Especially that silly crossed paw that MsK insisted had to stay!  For me, these are MUCH harder than drawing from life.  But, I like the reward of seeing the image emerge!  Thanks!

Holly, Thank you!  They seem to fit my inner thoughts about the topsy turvy turns that life can take.. and I'm trying some compositional ideas!

  • Don:

Tulipland is a pretty groovy place. I love #31! I could sit and look at it for hours… starting – wait for it – NOW. -Don
