177 & 178: Two View of Calf Creek “Petrified Dunes”

These hill formations are called "petrified dunes".  They are rock formed from ancient sand dunes created when the Appalachians blew west.  Can you imagine?  It boggles my mind.  These dunes are huge.  I am humbled by the splendor!

Daily Drawing 24: MsKitty on Rooftop

Today’s drawing was inspired by one of my kitty buddies along my exercise root.  His favorite place is on the roof of his two-story house.  MsKitty concurs; she looks quite happy surveying the landscape around her.

DD21: MsKitty Consults a Condiment

Today, MsK visits a favorite condiment…. which I imagine you can guess!  What do you suppose they talk about?  Maybe it’s just a communing of spirits!  (For my friends from other countries, the condiment is a hot sauce).

Daily Drawing 18: MsKitty with Broken Egg V5

Just a study….funny a kitty and egg can be so engrossing to draw.  Creative Every Day Challenge: still working on my “body of work!”  Enjoy!

Daily Drawing 17: Self Portrait v3

Thanks to my husband and webmaster, Robert, who has updated my website adding a “recent works” page.  If you have a moment, I invite you to please take a look.

I drew another “Self Portrait”.  I was not particularly concerned with an exact likeness as you can see.  It may not look like me much at all in the traditional sense.  I did most of the drawing from memory of the first two drawings.  I was interested in composing the lines, shapes and angles that make up the face.  I wanted to show a little bit of my fun, quirky nature while maintaining the original expression.
