Daily Drawing 16: Caturday with MsKitty
MsKitty is back with the eggs. Hmm, just a broken one today. Suppose there is a message? MsKitty would say, “She with the pencils is jumping around the timeline”. Or would she? In MsKitty’s world, the time and place that matters is now. Perhaps that is why this story line, if there is indeed a storyline, jumps from here to there and back again.
For those of you new to this blog, MsKitty is “THE MUSE”. She has been trying to reveal herself to “She With Pencils”, but it’s hard. If MsKitty could she’d hit She With Pencils over the head with a sledgehammer, or rubber mallet. Some people….. you see She With Pencils wants to be a “serious artist”. What is more serious than telling the story of MsKitty? She thinks this somewhat in a hurry drawing will appease Her Kittyness on Caturday…NOT!
Well, maybe……
Day 10: Just Me and MsKitty
For some reason, I decided to have fun with the "photo booth" on my Mac, ala Myrna Wacknov's "Drawn to the Mirror". I rarely draw myself, but I started playing with pencil and paper. Now, the angle of me to the camera lens is awkward. I'm looking through the bottom of my bifocal lens trying to see what I'm doing. Excuses? Well, I just gave myself an extra hard assignment, because of the funny angle. But, it was fun anyway. It took me awhile to draw this; two sittings in fact. I have a deeper respect for the graceful, fluid line Myrna Wacknov achieves while drawing her portraits in a short amount of time!
And, of course, I did another drawing of MsKitty with the egg cup. This drawing took a half hour. I was trying to push myself along a little bit faster.
I hope you enjoy today's drawings! Admin note: I did the portrait last night. Admin note two: I usually post the day after I do them…just my routine.

MsKitty Visits Tulip Time, Daily Drawing 2010
My goal for 2010 is to do a drawing a day. Since yesterday was Friday, I did a blind contour drawing. Other than “Blind Contour Friday’s”, drawings will be as I feel like doing. As long as I draw I meet my goal. I’ll post as often as practical. Sometimes life keeps me from the Internet, though I can always post multiples.
My goal is inspired by Myrna Wacknov’s new drawing blog "Drawn to the Mirror". And, all too often I worry over my drawing skills. This is an effort to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak, and commit to daily drawing.
Drawing daily has been my practice. What’s new is now it’s a formal goal. My intention is to draw from life, at least part ways. I always edit, embellish, improvise, or otherwise make the drawing my own.
Today’s drawing is “MsKitty Visits Tulip Time”. You see part of MsKitty’s quest is to visit things so I can draw them! Her quest has LOTS of curves, detours, and distractions.
Enjoy!
Thank You’s and MsKitty Visits Santa Cat

Thank you's first: I huge thank you to PAMO and Valerie(Lilas) for the "Over the Top Award" mention! I appreciate the honor! In lieu of passing it on to anyone specifically, I want to honor all art bloggers! We're winners for putting our hearts, minds and art on display! Thanks and congrats!
MsKitty Visits Santa Cat. Today's posting has MsKitty visiting Santa Cat. Don't they look like they're posing for a photo? Yes, that's perhaps an odd Santa Cat, no offense. See, Santa Cat was Humpty Dumpty in a former life time. Did you know that? It's true. The fact is that since all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again, the Queen morphed him into Santa Cat. He's much better now! We know this to be true because MsKitty visited Santa Cat and they had their pictures painted.

MsK & ToyPony in Blue DaisyLand
It’s mid December — what better time to visit Blue DaisyLand? What, never been there? MsKitty and ToyPony figured “if not now, then when?”* So off they went. Blue DaisyLand has a sort of zany, joyous feel about it. Gotta kick up the heels a bit.
You may think this is a glorified doodle; well, I suppose it is. That’s what’s fun! Do a little drawing from life, change, embellish, decorate, shake, add a story and there you are! Blue DaisyLand! Enjoy!
